Only 9.99?!?

7 Jun

James took me to the inner harbor on Saturday to try and cheer me up and while there we stopped in Urban Outfitters. I had already picked out the vinyl toy blind box I wanted and was ready to head upstairs to check out when I spotted this gem (Tara McPherson Magic Love Hello Kitty!) out of the corner of my eye high up on a dusty shelf in a corner. I flipped out and went and got it down from the shelf and it had a price tag of 9.99. I was like REALLY?! I wanted this forever ago and when it came out I didn’t have the 40 bucks in my paypal to buy it, so I didn’t get it. NOW I HAS FOR 9.99! It seriously was the highlight of my day.

I also scored some cute apple earrings. I’m totally into earrings right now and I don’t know why. I never wear them and plus I only have one other pair which are cute vintage bunnies from way back when when I could barely walk. So now I have two pairs of earrings! Check me out!

Also, I won passes to a screening of Super 8 tonight from a trivia thingy I may or may not have used google to cheat. I’m not sure if the movie will be any good, but its free, so I don’t care.

I’m totally going to regret being awake this early..

Japanese Street Fest

19 Apr

A couple of Saturdays ago I went to the Japanese Street Festival in DC. I was pretty excited about going, and it did turn out to be a good day. DC is turning out to be one of my favorite places to hang out, as of recently.

There was lots of food, live music, vendors, performances, and people in all sorts of different costumes. I probably stayed there for about an hour before I wandered off back into the city. Never in my life did I imagine that I would be eating lo mein in the middle of Pennsylvania Avenue (It was probably the best lo mein I’ve ever eaten, too!).

I wish I would’ve taken a lot more money than I did. There was lots of stuff I wanted to take home with me. I ended up with a Hello Kitty mask, some I Heart Guts stickers, and a Japanese marble soda. I only actually took one picture while I was at the street fest and it was kinda a dull one. So, I spruced it up with a filter in light room to make it look somewhat more interesting?
