Wordless Wednesday – Rub my belly!

Supposedly it is National Puppy Day, so I will share mine with everyone.
Ziggy hasn’t learned that is good to pose for the camera. Oscar knows, though. As soon as I get my camera or phone out to take a picture, Oscar immediately assumes picture taking position. He gets quite jealous of me photographing Ziggy these days and always wants in the picture. So, it took a bit of work to keep him out of this one (Putting him in my lap!

Happy Puppy day and have a good weekend, all! [=

Things that happened in January -
We acquired Ziggy at the beginning of the month. He has definitely sprouted and a little bigger than Oscar now. I think he is the only good thing to really happen so far this year. Everything else has been kinda bleh.
I’ve kept up walking the dogs. I haven’t been doing it everyday, but most days. Some days, they get walked twice.
I have been terrible at eating vegetarian/vegan. Especially over this past weekend. I couldn’t fight the cravings! I have been cooking a lot, though, so the only time I’ve been failing at vegan is when we go out to eat. With my new found love of Wegmans, I actually look forward to going to the grocery store these days. I must be getting old if I enjoy grocery shopping?
I read a total of five books so far this month. Heart of the Matter, How to Raise the Perfect Dog, & The Hunger Game series. I plan on starting another book either today or tomorrow, but I haven’t decided on what I want to read yet. Too many decisions to pick from. Have I ever mentioned that I have a hard time making decisions? Seriously. Worst thing ever for me.
I was supposed to see this guy, Anthony Green, on the 14th, but I just could not bring myself to do it. I had a very bad mental/anxiety day and I could not bare the thought of going to a concert alone, even though I’ve done it in the past. I don’t regret it, but I hope to catch him again this summer. I did, however, get a ticket to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers in DC. Its a few months away, but still looking forward to it.
I’ve been keeping up with my daily photo, too. I’m 140 days into it. It has helped that I’ve been using a combination of a photo challenge & flickr for prompts, it really helps on those days where I have no idea what to photograph.
Here’s to a better February!

Meet Ziggy. He is the newest addition to our little family thing that we’ve got going on over here. I have been wanting a new puppy for awhile and I finally convinced James to let me have one. So, I have been on a mission to find the right dog that both James and I could compromise on. I really wanted a ‘smoosh-faced’ type of dog, but James hates those, so I had to compromise with him and picked something just as cute. I originally wanted to adopt, but a lot of the shelters only had bigger dogs and since we don’t have a fenced yard, we can’t have that right now.
Ziggy is a West Highland White Terrier aka Westie. He is about 12 weeks old and one cute fluff ball. We went and picked him up Monday night from a breeder about an hour away. It was love at first sight. We took him home and let Oscar and him get acquainted which originally was pretty much awful. Oscar just did not like him at first, but he is coming around and they seem to be getting along just fine for the most part.
But yea, I feel like my little family is complete now. I can’t wait to watch him grow up.
